Eclipse Europa released

Even with the x-ray power of ubiquitous RSS feeds, I managed to miss the Eclipse Foundation’s Europa co-ordinated project release. This is a simultaneous release of major revisions of 21 projects. Last year this event was called the Callisto project. There are a number of benefits to this approach for the journeyman programmer, chief of which is having an umbrella project under which a updates are managed.

Some of the project plug-ins that I use regularly are Web Tools Platform (WTP), Data Tools Platform (DTP) and Mylyn (which is a unique and powerful productivity tool, formerly known as Mylar; I have to assume that the good folks at Du Pont didn’t think it was a valuable approach to extending their brand).
